I was born in Hong Kong in 1975, brought up in a supportive family. I was always curious, and loved to draw and build things. At the age of nine, I discovered photography.
In 1996 when I came to Sydney to study Industrial Design at the University of New South Wales, I immediately felt in love with the wonderful people and places in this world’s largest island.
During my nine years of working as a light designer, I was fortunate enough to have worked with many inspirational people and have won numerous international awards including the Australian Design Award and the prestigious Red Dot Design Award in Germany for the Cordless Lamps series with NEOZ Lighting Australia. The most rewarding experience, however, is seeing my design being enjoyed and appreciated by the people around the world including Sydney Opera House, The Ritz Hotel London, Quai Branly Museum Paris, Harvey Nichols Hong Kong and Wally Yachts Monaco.
In recent years, I have only worked on selected design projects in order to focus on pursuing my childhood dream as a people’s photographer to capture moment in lives. |
